don't come to uga unless you like playing interdepartmental phone tag to get cleared for classes you need. of course, by the time you get everything cleared up, that class you need will probably already be snatched up by someone else's grubby little hands. and when the class magically appears open the second time on the system, you will inevitably go through the same round of phone tag, and you will still come out of it emptyhanded. *grumble grumble* uga: the land of useless advisors (and parking nazis).
only come to uga if you're going to be in the honors program. else jorgensen and judy bolen are like an oasis in a desert ~ if not for those two, i'd probably never get a class i need.

parking services is nazi. how do these people sleep at night? *grumble grumble* guess it's a week of parking illegally for me.

wow, i mean wow. according to ign, the dvd for final fantasy: the spirits within has been in production for four months, and "will take advantage of the 3D computer-generated medium by allowing viewers to change camera angles or move the camera throughout the movie."
O_o how interesting.
Monday, June 11, 2001.05:57 p.m.:
hmm... more final fantasy themes, this time ala cactaur. i'm slightly disturbed by this one, tho, because the picture looks like it's of a plushie, which would mean that they actually make cactaur plushies...
great. now i want one.

ever wonder what the host (from angel - and yes, i watch that show) looks like without all the make-up? well, wonder no longer.
Monday, June 11, 2001.05:30 p.m.:
this guy's layout is kinda neat, but it's mainly because i like the final fantasy viii picture of laguna and a moomba. moombas are so cute.
i wonder when final fantasy x comes out...
Monday, June 11, 2001.03:58 p.m.:
wow, the lengths we go to just to keep ourselves entertained:
hrtofswrd: so why are you up so early?
...and then a few minutes later:
SenorSaff: ok---i'm tired of not liking spaces anymore. my brain hurts.

my host family emailed me:
i love broken english. the only bad thing about it is that when i get back from japan, my japanese will be better, but i'll also be speaking broken english - it'll take me at least a week to get out of the habit, too.

i went to church with my mom this morning, which i haven't done in a looong time. the church my mom attends is this tiny country church that my whole family attended when we first moved to georgia. i stopped attending that one during high school, but it seems everyone who's related to me goes there now.
anyway, so that's where i was this morning, and i paid absolutely no attention to the sermon, because i was too busy watching my cousin's baby who is a year old and possibly the cutest thing i've seen in a while. she kept peering over her mom's shoulder at me, then would wave her tiny little hand at me. *melts* so much marital and pre-marital bliss surrounds me...

Friday, June 8, 2001.02:55 p.m.:
oh wow. why does ewan mcgregor look so hot (ooo...caliente!) in moulin rouge? yeowch! and he can sing to boot! there's a music video from the movie in rotation that's a medley of a whole load of pop tunes sung by mcgregor and nicole kidman. i like these multi-talented men, ala harry conick jr. now if i can just find time to actually go see the movie and drool properly over mr. mrgregor.
Friday, June 8, 2001.04:36 a.m.:
aaaaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh!! everclear's done a cover of "brown-eyed girl"...?? i'll cling to jimmy buffett's cover, thanks all the same.

i don't know why i wanted to see duets so bad - maybe it's the whole huey lewis thing - but i missed it when it was in theaters (seeing as how it was only there for about 2.4 seconds). i finally caught it when it came out on video a week or so ago, and it's not THAT bad. all the reviews i've read all give the thumbs down, tho. i really like gwyneth paltrow's rendition of bette davis eyes - it's actually my favorite part of the movie... aside from huey lewis, of course.

design sushi is formatted a bit like goatee style, but hey, it's sushi! everyone needs a little more sushi in their diet. mmm... crazy horse roll... great, now i want sushi. i can't wait to go back to japan - you can buy sushi at the gas stations there, if you want. talk about access!
Thursday, June 7, 2001.11:59 p.m.:
well, if no one minds, i'm still crossing my fingers for hugh grant as dr. who - he's already done it before, and he's good at bumbling ala tom baker, so why not? besides, he's cute...
Thursday, June 7, 2001.06:10 p.m.:
i'm still not sure what this is, but it sure is interesting.
Thursday, June 7, 2001.05:27 p.m.:
mmm... lapdog... i really like these guys, and i doubt that my brother will get his cd back anytime soon, or at least until i break down and buy my own. toad the wet sprocket may be no more, but at least we still have lapdog! oh, and glen phillips - he's still making music, too.
Thursday, June 7, 2001.11:25 a.m.:
i've finally found a new guestbook (geocities has become such a pain since yahoo! bought them... argh...) so it's there if you wanna leave a message and are too busy to email.
Thursday, June 7, 2001.10:14 a.m.:
i have the hardest time leaving my webpages alone. i had that other color scheme up for about a week, and now i've gone and changed it again. what's worse is that i just can't figure out if i like this one or not. it just seems like an awful lot of orange... or is that yellow? sheesh... i could never be an artist. oh well.
